Dr. Sadaf Ahmed, Ph.D. with expertise and interests in Psychophysiology and behavioural neuroscience serving as an Asst. Professor at Department of Physiology, University of Karachi. and also currently leading as chief executive officer at Advance Educational Institute & Research center (AEIRC).
Dr. Ahmed has put forward the initiative of establishing psychophysiology in Pakistan. A well-known investigator, trainer and educationist in the field of mental health, gender inequalities, Health and wellbeing, research and development. A Member of recognized societies like International Brain Research Organization, World Women in Neuroscience USA, Canada Pakistan Research & Development Council, The Science Bridge, World Association of Medical Editors, Pakistan Society of Basic and Applied Neuroscience and others. Dr. Ahmed was honored with many national and International grants to lead the scientific and social projects including few by Government of Pakistan, Higher education Commission & IBRO. She is editor of various journals including International Journal on Endorsing Health Science & Research (IJEHSR), International Journal on Women Empowerment, Annals of Psychophysiology and also reviewer of number of journals in Pakistan.She is already a known figure working and making changes focusing towards Sustainable Development Goals specifically goal number 3, 4, 5, 11 & 17 and recognized by many organizations globally.
Faizan is lecturer at Department of Physiology, University of Karachi. He earned gold medal during his graduation for standing first in whole Science faculty. Currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Psychophysiological indicators of healthy aging. Faizan has published various research papers and supervised graduated research with his interests in psychophysiology and exercise physiology.
Shamoon is currently pursuing his Ph.D in Public Health with emphasis on Stress as a mental health concern. He is working for a project funded by Higher Education Commission Pakistan as Research Associate at Psychophysiology Research Lab, University of Karachi. Shamoon has earned his M.Phil in public Health during 2018 and published many articles and manuals. His work focuses on psychophysiological effects of stress, neurodegeneration, mental health and human behavior. He currently presented his work in Nepal, Malaysia and Canada beside his vibrant scientific presence at National level. He has been part of various training programs psychophysiology, neuroscience and mental health..
Sonya is Lecturer at Liaquat National School of Physiotherapy. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in psychophysiological risk factors affecting Maternal Health. Sonya has published number of papers related to behavioral and physiological aspects of health and disease.
Jawwad is M.Phil student pursuing his degree in pshychophysiogcal prospects of physical ailments specifically patients of myocardial infarction. He has done his undergraduate research on physical strains and psychological stress in patients underwent Angiography. He is currently working as cardiac physiologist at National Institute of Cardiovascular diseases (NICVD).
Ramsha has done her graduation in Biophysics and molecular physiology with her dissertation on impacts exercise on health. She successfully presented her research on various platforms and won best presentation award as well. Recently she is teaching Neurophysiology at Ziauddin University.
Muhammad jabbar is M.Phil student pursuing his degree in pshychophysiogcal prospects of mental stress on soldiers. He is currently working as physiotherapist at PNS Shifa Naval hospital Karachi
She has successfully completed her M.Sc Physiology in 2018 and her dissertation is regarding the Physiological and Psychological response of professional runners to strenuous exercise. Recently, she had presented her research work in a conference by South Asian Association of Physiologist and has won the best poster presentation award as well. Also, she had presented her awareness program regarding Menstrual Hygiene in the village Bugtiabad of Nawabshah in 5th International Conference on Women Empowerment by AEIRC. She had been in the teaching field for the past 10 years at the Secondary Education Level and worked as the Vice-Principal in Army Public School, Azad Kashmir.
